Who we are
Blame the Whims Uploader is a private tool operated by Joel Prine to publish videos to his own YouTube channel, Blame the Whims. It is not offered to the public, and it is used only with the channel owner's own Google account. The tool is operated independently and is not a Prine Accounting service.
What information the tool accesses
With the channel owner's permission, the tool uses Google's YouTube Data API with two permissions:
- Upload videos (
youtube.upload): to upload the channel's own finished videos, with their title, description, tags and audience settings. - View your YouTube account (
youtube.readonly): to confirm which channel is connected and to read back the details of videos the tool uploaded (for example title, visibility and processing status).
The tool does not access other people's accounts, viewers' personal information, comments, messages, or any Google data outside YouTube.
How the information is used
Information received from Google is used only to upload the channel's videos and confirm those uploads succeeded. It is not used for advertising, is not sold, and is not shared with anyone.
Blame the Whims Uploader's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Storage and security
The sign-in tokens Google issues are stored on a private server in files readable only by the owner's account. The tool keeps a private log of its own uploads (video ID, title and settings). Nothing is sent to third parties other than Google/YouTube.
Retention and deletion
Tokens are kept only while the channel owner wants the tool connected. Access can be revoked at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions. When access is revoked or no longer needed, the stored tokens are deleted. To request deletion of any stored data, use the contact below.

By using this tool you are also subject to the YouTube Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy.
Visiting these pages
These pages use no cookies, analytics or tracking. Like most websites, the web server keeps standard access logs (such as IP address and time of request) for security and troubleshooting.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new effective date.
